5th & 6th Classes took part in a safe-cycling workshop on Friday. They learned lots of tips to keep them safe on the road.
Some of our pupils planted a variety of vegetables in our garden this week.

Well done to our boys who played a really exciting hurling game against Cappagh recently. It was a close match with Cappagh coming out on top in the end.

It was Active School and Wellness Week. There were lots of activities taking place in all classes throughout the week.
On Tuesday to promote healthy eating all classes had an opportunity to eat some lovely fruit.

There was 10@10 each morning, a safe scooter workshop for our junior classes while 5th & 6th had a safe cycling day.

On Friday there was a wellness walk and free dress day in aid of Pieta House.

Hollywood came to Geashill last week when 5th and 6th Classes took part in a mini-movie project. As well as acting, they learned about sound, camera work and much more besides. This project was funded by Offaly County Council. The movie will be shown as part of the Offline Film Festival in October.

Some of our pupils from 6th Class took part in a VEX robotics competition on Tuesday 29th April. Following weeks of preparation both our teams represented the school very well.


Well done to our girls who along with the girls from Cloneygowan NS beat Daingean in a camogie match on Wednesday 30th April.

Ms. Bourke’s class has been learning about toys from the past in History.
