We recently launched, in conjunction with Geashill Tidy Towns, a re-use uniform scheme called, “Looks New to Me.” Anyone who has a uniform in good condition that is no longer used can drop it into the school. One of our parents has kindly volunteered to help organise this for us and all uniforms ready for re-use are hanging in our school entrance. Parents are free to take any that suits.

Well done to our pupils who won medals in Killeigh Community Games handwriting and art competitions. What a talented bunch! Best of luck to those who progressed to the Offaly finals.

We had a wonderful week of weather for our Active School Week 2024. All our classes took part in a wide variety of activities each day. Some of the activities included karate, line and Irish dancing, pilates, badminton, rounders, penalty shootouts, obstacle courses, football darts and much more.
Thanks to our Active School Committee for all their organising. You can read lots more about our ASW 2024 here.

We held a Marine Awareness Day as part of our ongoing Green School work. Lots of interesting projects were completed while there was some great creativity shown for our sea-creature dress up. Well done to our Green School Committee for organising the day.

Bhain an scoil go léir taitneamh as an Lá Glas inniu, le haghaidh Seachtain na Gaeilge. Bhí rince Gaelach, amhráin agus ceoil againn i rith an lae. Beannachtaí na Féile Pádraig oraibh go léir.

There was great excitement around the school as we celebrated World Book Day. Well done to everyone for making such an effort to bring some of our favourite books to life!

Congratulations to our pupils in 6th Class who received the sacrament of Confirmation on Friday 1st March. Thanks to all our pupils from 3rd to 5th Classes who sang so beautifully in the choir. Thanks also to Msgr. Coonan for the lovely celebration and for all his support leading up to Friday.

Well done to our junior and senior quiz teams who took part recently in the Tullamore Credit Union Quiz. There were no prizes this year but well done to both teams for their hard work and enthusiasm.
