Well done to our girls who along with the girls from Cloneygowan NS beat Daingean in a camogie match on Wednesday 30th April.

Ms. Bourke’s class has been learning about toys from the past in History.

We had great fun in school on Friday as all classes took part in our Mini Tractor Run. Thanks to everyone who dropped in scooters, go carts, tractors etc. Thanks also to everyone who has collected money and returned sponsorship cards over the last fortnight.

Well done to our pupils who won medals in the Community Games art and handwriting competitions. It’s great to see the tradition of success in these competitions continue among our pupils.

Well done to our boys who took part in our first ever hurling match against Cloneygowan today. While the result didn’t go our way the match was played in a great spirit and well done to both teams.

History was made today as these Geashill girls played in our first ever camogie match. Playing in the colours of our local camogie club, St. Sinchill’s, and alongside our friends from Cloneygowan NS we took on Scoil Bhríde, Edenderry. While the result didn’t go our way all the girls gave it everything and look forward to the next game.

Eimear our GAA coach has started hurling coaching again every Friday. All classes have been taking part and it’s great to see the progress being made.
We’re also looking forward to playing our first hurling and camogie matches in the next few weeks and we have been training hard in preparation.

Bhain an scoil go léir taitneamh as an Lá Glas inniu, le haghaidh Seachtain na Gaeilge. Bhí rince Gaelach, amhráin, ceoil agus craic againn i rith an lae. Beannachtaí na Féile Pádraig oraibh go léir.

Congratulations to our pupils who were confirmed in Ballinagar Church on Friday 14th March. Thanks to Bishop Denis, Msgr. Coonan and Fr. Stapleton for such a lovely ceremony.
