On Wednesday June 13th we held our annual Open Day for parents, past pupils, friends and neighbours. All the classes performed a variety of dances, songs and poems. We also celebrated our 6th Class and wished them well for the future.
3rd to 6th Classes had a really enjoyable day at the Let’s Go Activity School Tour in the Athlone IT. The children took part in a wide variety of activities. Take a look at some of the photos below.

In Maths we have been working on measures….weight and capacity.
Ciarán the stonemason demonstrates his skill as he carves a beautiful limestone slab for the village green.
Please read the Department of Education’s Inspection report into Special Educational Needs Provision throughout the school. The inspection took place in early March.
Our garden is looking really well with some newly planted flowers. All classes are taking turns to water and maintain it.

We have planted our vegetable garden too.

There are some lovely examples of art work on display all around the school.

Tough luck to our football team who narrowly lost out to Cloneygowan in the Cumann na mBunscol final in O’Connor Park on Wednesday. We played some wonderful football and showed huge fighting spirit and determination but it just wasn’t enough on the day. Well done to Cloneygowan for their performance and win.

Best of luck to our football team who take on our neighbours and friends from Cloneygowan NS in the final of their Cumann na mBunscol competition in O’Connor Park at 2.15pm on Wednesday. All support welcome.
