World Book Day
All classes celebrated World Book Day on March 6th. Lots of reading and other book related activities took place. Well done to everyone for their efforts and remember something magical can happen when you read a good book!
Credit Union Quiz National Final
Following on from their wonderful performance at the Tulllamore Credit Union Quiz, our senior team took part in the national final in Portlaoise on Saturday 1st March. They performed wonderfully well again, and in a very close contest with twenty two other schools from all around the country taking part, they came in third place. Well done to the team for all their hard work over the last number of weeks. We’re all very proud of them.
Mid Term Break
The school will be closed for the mid term break from Monday 17th to Friday 21st February.
It’s been a very busy few weeks in all our classes. From nature walks to pizza making, planting bulbs to celebrating Grandparents’ Day, Valentine’s Day and lots more, we’ve certainly packed a lot into every day. Tullamore Credit Union Quiz
Well done to both of our quiz teams who performed so well at the Tullamore Credit Union Quiz on Wed 12th February.
Our Junior Team, made up of pupils from 3rd & 4th Classes, won their competition. It was a very close contest and well done to the team from Daingean NS who just lost out in a tie-break.
Our Senior Team performed excellently as well and finished runners up after losing out in a tie-break to Ballinagar NS.
Our Senior Team now move on to the national final which will take place in the Midland Park Hotel, Portlaoise on March 1st.
Swimming Lessons
Swimming lessons for 3rd to 6th Classes will begin soon.

Parents’ Council Tractor Run Fundraiser for Geashill NS!
Thanks to everyone who helped and supported our Tractor Run which took place in glorious sunshine on Sunday 6th April. It was a wonderful community event and a very successful fundraiser for the school. Over €9000 has been raised. Thanks again to everyone for all your support.

Music Generation
All our classes have been working with Lucy from Music Generation. You can find out more information about Music Generation here. 2nd to 6th Classes have been learning violin while the junior classes have been doing an early years music programme. See how 5th & 6th Class have been progressing in this video.
Safer Internet Day
Tuesday 11th February was Safer Internet Day. All classes took part in age-appropriate activities and lessons aimed at online safety.
