Our Student Council presented representatives from our local Vincent de Paul charity with €400. This money was raised as part of the Christmas Jumper Week, orgainsed by our Student Council.

We held our Christmas Play in Raheen Church on Wednesday 17th December. Well done to everyone for all the wonderful performances.

On her last day working with us, we presented Lucy, our Music Generation tutor, with some flowers to say a big “Thank You” for all her great work since September 2024. We look forward to welcoming our new tutor, Zoe, to Geashill in the new year.

Thanks to everyone who donated to the Tullamore Lions Club Christmas Food Appeal. Six baskets of food were collected on Friday afternoon. A special word of thanks to our student council for publicising and promoting the appeal in the last number of weeks.

There’s some lovely winter and Christmas art work on display around the school.

The weather was against us but the village crib was unveiled and the Christmas tree was lit, just in time for the Toy Show.

Christmas Jumper Swap or Buy for €2

The Parents’ Council is organising a Christmas Jumper Swap/Buy event!

Drop Off:

You can leave in any clean, good-condition Christmas jumpers into the school from now until Friday 5th December.

Swap/Buy:

We’ll have all jumpers displayed on rails at the school office on the morning of Monday 8th December from 9am.

Parents or children are welcome to come in and swap for a new size or style, or buy a jumper for just €2.

This is a great way to recycle, save money, and spread some festive cheer!

This week is Clean Air Week. Our Green School Committee are asking all drivers to switch off their engines when dropping off and especially when collecting in the afternoon.

All classes took part in some extra science fun as part of Science Week 2026.
